Many of our residents are from the West Omaha, Nebraska, area, so they naturally appreciate all our region has to offer. Cultural attractions abound in West Omaha. Below are just a few that our residents enjoy and recommend to others. 

Remember! Off-site transportation is complimentary, so when you want to make a day of shopping, dining, golfing, or visiting one of the many local historical attractions, we’ll be glad to get you there.

Cultural attractions abound in West Omaha, Nebraska. Here are two of our favorites: Saint Cecilia Cathedral is the mother church of the Catholic diocese of Omaha, and as cathedrals go, this one is truly breathtaking. Boys Town – famously established in 1917 as the headquarters of Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home – became famous in 1938 when Hollywood made a semibiographical movie about its founding.  

Walking tours of Zorinsky Lake Park reward you with some of the best bird-watching in the area. Bluestem Prairie Scientific and Natural Area offers bird and wildlife watching year-round, as well as hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. 

Music lovers flock to the highly regarded Omaha Symphony, as well as wherever Omaha Big Band is playing around town. 

Golfers love the fact that several highly ranked courses, including Westwood Golf Course and Pacific Springs Golf Course, are just a short drive from The Heritage at Sterling Ridge.

Shoppers flock to Village Pointe Mall and The Shops of Legacy for unique finds and great deals alike.

If dinner for two is your idea of the perfect activity, Charleston’s and The Blackstone Meatball are sure to please your inner foodie.
