Heritage Ridge prioritizes instilling in our residents a sense of belonging and purpose. Through our specialized memory care program, Portraits®, we tailor your loved one’s day-to-day experience to what truly motivates and enthuses them. Rooted in the Montessori method, we develop a personalized activity guide for each resident suited to their strengths, interests, and necessities. For instance, if your loved one worked in a restaurant, we may have him help fold napkins and prepare food.

AUGi: Enhancing Memory Care Safety with Science and Technology
At The Heritage at Fox Run, we’ve incorporated cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology into our care process. We use an artificial intelligence-enabled memory care monitoring system, AUGi, that provides comfort and security to residents and their families. AUGi carefully tracks residents’ movements and promptly notifies our team and loved ones of any activity that may necessitate assistance. We anticipate that this groundbreaking technology will help prevent falls and hospitalizations for our residents. AUGi is not just reactive, it provides predictive intelligence by identifying changes in behavior and conditions so our caregivers can address potential concerns and intervene earlier, resulting in even better care for your loved one.

Family Involvement and Support
Moving a loved one into memory care is a big step and seeing them change in this way can be challenging. Heritage Ridge hosts support group meetings for the families of loved ones to share their experiences free of judgment while also learning about dementia and developing skills to better communicate with individuals who have cognitive impairments.
Our care team welcomes family involvement and strives to maintain open communication regarding your loved one’s care with the family representatives. Heritage utilizes the Spotlight process to help ensure all residents are being carefully observed for changes in condition that warrant changes in their care plans. In this process, representatives of different departments along with any preferred care partners involved in your loved one’s care meet weekly to proactively discuss variations in your loved one’s routines, demeanor, and health. Following this meeting, we connect with you to discuss our observations and plan. This helps us keep multiple eyes on your loved one, and we promise to keep you well informed regarding any new information we learn or observe.

Comprehensive Care
We create a care plan for each individual that is specially tailored to their wants, needs, and interests. This plan covers activities of daily living (ADLs) like dressing and bathing to more complex activities like cognitive stimulation and socialization. If your loved one needs to stretch his legs often, we’ll be sure to help him stroll through our courtyard as part of their wellness plan.
