What To Expect With Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead Memory Care

Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead is an inclusive community where you and your loved ones can feel at home. We shape every resident’s experience to their passions and desires, taking the time to get to know each person’s favorite recipes, TV shows, routine activities, and more. All of our associates are trained in the Montessori Method of dementia care, which emphasizes respect, dignity, and equality through person-centered positive reinforcement and support.

We strive to help your family member feel welcomed and valued as they transition into our Glendale memory care community. Before move-in day, we’ll have you fill out an assessment so that we can get to know a bit about your loved one’s interests, daily schedule, and overall spirit. We’ll also take inventory of their favorite meals and snacks to curate a menu that will always have something they like. Our lively social calendar allows for frequent stimulation and socialization as well, with a variety of engaging activities they can participate in as they please.

Personalized Memory Care Services

Portraits®

Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead holds immense pride in our Portraits® program, a specialized memory care service that takes an individualized approach to each resident’s life. Our associates tailor your loved one’s schedule to give them the assistance they need with activities of daily life (ADLs), along with ample time to feel joy, wonder, and laughter. We also create customized activity guides for each resident that help them stay connected to and feel part of our community. You will notice Portraits® stations throughout our memory care community when you visit. Each of these is set up with an activity and a sign inviting the resident to engage in the activity. This allows your loved one to make choices and find activities to engage in all around them.

The best part of the Portraits® program is the personalization it offers your loved one. Instead of trying to teach your loved one new activities, we’ll learn what their favorite games, movies, music, and other interests are. By helping them enjoy the things they already love, they can live an independent lifestyle that lets them connect with their inner passions and boost their self-esteem.

This is living better with specialized care.

If someone you love is living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of age-related dementia, we can help. Our specialized approach to Memory Care will help your loved one feel more like themselves – happier, more engaged and appreciated.
