Frequently Asked Questions in Norfolk, NE

The Heritage at Fountain Point

Frequently Asked Questions

Assisted living at The Heritage at Fountain Point offers discreet support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dining, and dressing. Our residents have 24-hour access to highly trained caregivers who provide personalized assistance tailored to their needs and goals. Assisted living residents are free to independently move about the entire community at their leisure.

Memory care provides a higher level of care to residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The memory care area is secure to protect your loved one from wandering into other areas and outside our community.  In addition to assisting with activities of daily living, our person-centered memory support program, Portraits®, aims to engage, stimulate, and help maintain the remaining abilities of our residents.

Common indicators it’s time to consider memory care include:

• Decline in giving direct attention and frequency of making eye contact
• Fear, frustration, and confusion are more common
• Inability to remember to take medications and trouble taking them
• Less interest and attention to grooming and dressing
• Physical changes, including loss of appetite and weight loss
• Significant memory loss that interrupts everyday living, like misplacing possessions, getting lost inside familiar places, or the inability to drive or find the keys
• Wandering
• Trouble with activities of daily living, like bathing, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom

Absolutely! While at The Heritage at Fountain Point for respite care or a recovery stay, residents can take advantage of the same amenities as full-time residents. They can participate in on-site exercise classes, attend religious services, and enjoy spending time in the beautiful, secure courtyard. These amenities are available for as long as they consider The Heritage at Fountain Point their home. Experience Living Better with us!
