What To Expect With Orchard Pointe at Surprise Memory Care

Orchard Pointe at Surprise was designed to be a conducive environment for seniors with dementia and cognitive issues.  When you walk into Orchard Pointe at Surprise, you step into our main dining area, which doubles as an activity space and sitting room that serves as the social center of our community. You will see residents up and about, engaging in group gatherings or individual pursuits. Our caregivers are all trained in the Montessori method of dementia care, which is built upon principles of respect and equality emphasized through hands-on activities. Our goal is to provide helpful programming that adds meaning to our residents’ lives and helps them feel like part of our family. This is embodied best by our program specialist, who spends quality time connecting with the residents who need connection most.

We open our arms to your loved one before they even move into our Surprise memory care community. We conduct an initial assessment to get an understanding of where they are cognitively and physically. This assessment is used to determine their Level of Care and outline a services plan and schedule that matches their needs.

There’s no greater example of our commitment to our residents’ well-being than our Spotlight meetings. Caregivers from every department come together on a weekly basis to share updates or acknowledge changes in any residents’ condition. This practice is one more reason you’ll have peace of mind – you can know that there are many eyes on your loved one.
